Twin brothers Moneeb and Haseeb celebrated their 18th birthday when they received their remarkable A-level results.
Nelson and Colne College pupils Moneeb Mohammed achieved an A*, A, and A in psychology, law and sociology and is now heading to The University of Manchester to study law with ambitions of becoming a judge or solicitor, inspired by his older brother, who already works in the legal world.
His brother, Haseeb, also plans to attend The University of Manchester and secure A*, A, and A in sociology, biology, and chemistry, confirming his place as a medicine undergraduate.
Moneeb said: “I am extremely happy with my results. I was very nervous, but I’m now so relieved to have achieved what I need to take my next step towards my dream of working in law, which I’ve hoped to do since I was little.”
The twins spoke about the support they received from their teachers during college and the “encouragement they received along the way towards gaining their desired grades.”
Nelson and Colne College said student destinations this year include Russell Group universities, including the University of Cambridge, Durham University, Newcastle University, the University of York, Imperial College London and the University of Nottingham.
