To celebrate Indian Independence Day, Vue will showcase a selection of South Asian films on Thursday, August 15th. Six movies were specifically released for this occasion.
One of the featured films is \”Khel Khel Mein,\” a Hindi comedy remake of the Italian comedy thriller \”Perfect Strangers.\”
Another Hindi title premiering at Vue is \”Stree 2,\” a horror-comedy sequel to the original \”Stree\” movie released in 2018, and \”Vedaa,\” a film based on the true story of a young woman confronting and resisting a repressive system.
In addition to Hindi titles, the Tamil-language movie Thangalaan, based on the true events of mine workers in Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka, will also be showcased.
Also making its debut is the Telugu-language sci-fi film, \”Double iSMART,\” which follows an assassin with a dead police officer’s memories transplanted into his brain, forcing him to assist the authorities.
Lastly, the Malayalam film \”Nunakuzhi,\” a comedy-drama, is the third collaboration between screenwriter KR Krishna Kumar and director Jeethu Joseph, following \”12th Man\” and \”Kooman.\” The film depicts the story of a young man entangled in a web of lies and mistaken identity.
