Simple PR & Events and Human Appeal partner for an Inter-Faith humanitarian event

Simple PR & Events and Human Appeal Present Gala for Gaza; An Inter-Faith Humanitarian Event, featuring Comedian Paul Chowdhry (pictured above) Simple PR & Events in collaboration with Human Appeal, present a unique special black-tie event, The Gala for Gaza, taking place on Saturday the 1st of June 2024 at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London.

The evening will feature a performance by renowned comedian Paul Chowdhry whilst the primary objective is to support the children of Gaza.

Chowdhry said: “I am honoured to have the opportunity to be a part of an event that will aid those in need. Life is like a lottery and we don\’t get to choose where we\’re born. It could have easily been us.”

The Gala for Gaza promises to be a memorable evening, as individuals from various faiths unite to support a compassionate cause. The event’s purpose is to raise funds and hold auctions, with all proceeds dedicated to providing immediate care and attention for the children of Gaza.

This humanitarian event not only serves as a platform for networking opportunities with like-minded professionals but also offers the chance to mingle with celebrities. Guests will play an instrumental role in making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.

Nafila Khan, CEO & Founder of Simple PR & Events said: “I’m extremely proud to be working alongside Human Appeal, a reputable UK Muslim charity, to implement a fundraising event open to all faiths, for the prime purpose of helping children in Gaza.

I’m very passionate about supporting children caught up in war-ridden situations, and proceeds from this event will provide medical aid, food, shelter, and access to vital resources. Whilst the cause in question is that of dismay, Paul Chowdhry is the perfect choice to provide some laughter to the evening.”

Human Appeal is a non-profit organisation working across the globe to strengthen humanity’s fight against poverty, social injustice and natural disaster. Since the beginning of the conflict in Gaza, Human Appeal has provided 1 million hot meals and 20,000 nutritious food parcels to feed 100,000families facing famine and provided 3.6million worth of lifesaving aid.

Zaheer Khan, Fundraising Director of Human Appeal said: “The past 8 months has shocked the world with the injustice and indiscriminate killing of innocent children, women and men in Gaza. To date, this has been one of our most difficult campaigns due to the complexity of delivering aid in Gaza. Despite the threat our teams face on the ground, enduring personal losses and the blockades, Human Appeal has continued to provide support.

Events like this allow us to meet our donors and supporters to raise vital aid which will change and transform lives. We would like to thank our partner Simple PR & Events for their support and putting together this event.”

The Muslim community is not alone in aiding those trapped in the conflict; other communities have too been lending their support. It is heartening to witness the solidarity and compassion displayed by various communities.

This event’s collaboration between various groups highlights the universal desire to alleviate suffering and promote harmony. In attendance, we welcome prominent community leaders including Orthodox Rabbi Beck, Imam Khaled Gemal, Bishop Dr Joel Thomas and Ravi Singh from Khalsa Aid. Khalsa Aid is a non-profit charity organisation that upholds one simple tenet: ‘recognise the human race as one’.

Over twenty-five years, our organisation had been revered for its humanitarian-aid work across the globe, and the dire situation in Gaza is certainly not exempt from this. Khalsa Aid is dedicated to give voice and unwavering support to the malnourished and displaced population in Gaza, and we remain steadfast in our current relief efforts in Egypt, Cairo.

Ravi Singh, CEO of Khalsa Aid said: “It’s wonderful to see diverse faces and faiths unite at this event today for Gaza during its time of need, and purely embodying humanity. This strongly echoes the Sikh teachings of sarbat da bhala, (’the wellbeing of all’), a principle that is increasingly vital during such a traumatising, cruel period in our global history.

Coming together is imperative to address the misconception that the Gaza conflict affects only those of the Muslim faith. Highlighting the fact that the issue in hand is humanitarian, not centred on any particular religion. “

Bishop Dr Joel Thomas – International Minister, Pastor and Bishop said: “I’m honoured to have been invited to this incredible inter-faith Humanitarian event, in aid of the children of Palestine. As a Christian Community Leader, I can vouch that you do not need to be Muslim or Palestinian to be against the killing of innocent children.

It’s important we all unite and support this cause which is of paramount importance.”
